91' FJ80 Toyota Land Cruiser Build-Up

The Volvo axles measure very similar to the FJ's axles.

The draglink was on the same side as the FJ.

Found a use for the other seat brackets.

These are the valves for the locker activators.

I used a vacuum pump from a GM motor home for backup vacuum for the locker controls, it has an automatic regulator that kicks on if the engine vacuum level drops below 12hg. It also powers the brake booster if the engine dies.

With the FJ axles out I started carefully removing the brackets to re-use on the Volvo axles.

Here's the Volvo axle with all the FJ brackets installed.

Rear axle with the FJ brackets, I had to build a bridge over the locker vacuum bellow for the control arm mount then cut gussets from flat 3/16 stock to strengthen the original brackets.

Front axle in place, it's amazing how well everything fits. All the suspension is stock, once I run it some and see how the clearance is I will replace the shocks. Maybe the springs if needed.
